I knew last year that I wanted to fly in the 2011 Air Race Classic; I just didn't know how I was going to go about doing it. Well, that's been figured out. With 119 days left until the starting gun sounds, there's lots to be done to prepare. This first post is my first step in presenting "Team Bessie" to the world. Fellow Aviators.....LOOK OUT I'm baaaack! I'm All geared up and ready to race again. My first air race classic experience in '09 was AMAZING! Achieving a top ten "WINNING" spot (7th place) was even more reason to try again for a chance at the First Place Medal!!! So much adventure, fun, and new found friendships were created because of a simple chance meeting that created "Team Right Attitude". However, with great experiences in life, there are also great losses of life. This year, I dedicate this race to my dear friend and '09 teammate Rivka "Irene" Chayka Lev.
She is sorely missed.
